This weeks been interesting...
Monday and Tuesday I spent colour correcting a documentary till late on both evenings. Wednesday some of the guys and I played video games for a few hours round my house and I was surprised by the news that Tinman is going to buy a Wii next month. After jumping on Mario Kart for a while in which I had to switch to using the wheel because I kept winning on analogue controls because Tinman and Anyoman haven't played much I then introduced them to Guitar Hero 3 (mental note: must buy Guitar Hero 2 solos).
Once I kicked them out I went to the doctors to get advice about the affect shaving his having on my skin. From there went on to my second time at this connect group (FYI: connect group is my churches way of doing home groups where you get to know people and go over in more detail about the messages in church and other stuff). I met two really nice people and we talked about stuff we have on minds, I brought up something that's been bugging my recently; Forgiveness.
Is forgiveness something that you have to go through a period of feeling offence and then get over, however long or short that period my be? Is it an offence that matters so little to you you can rise above it?
Is it all of the above?
Thursday I actually picked up my acoustic guitar and beginners book and started to play, later realising that my tutors had arranged end of term drinks for all years of my course. Even though I had eaten very little that day (a bowl a cereal and a slice of bread) I rushed and left. This was a mistake!
Three pints and I'm gone!
I'm not a fan of being drunk, those days have long since gone therefore it was strange to have that feeling again. I didn't really do anything I wasn't in control of but yes my inhibitions where more relaxed so I did comment to this girl who I by no means fancy but radiates beauty when she smiles that she should take more descriptive photographs of her self smiling to represent herself online (facebook).
Next Day:
Oh my head!
Seriously why people actually do that to them selves week in week out is beyond me. The "my hobbies include pubbing and clubbing........" people really do make me feel sad. How empty!
More guitar: No one said my finger would hurt!
Saturday: Learnt how to mute my guitar but wondering if I'm doing it right. Scary thought; I'm only using one finger at the moment, thats three more fingers that have to get use to the pain to look forward to

Oh yeah!
The announcement of that Iphone thingy went out yesterday about the second generation model being 3G.
I didnt want a first gen Iphone because of the sky high price and the features it should do that it doesn't because its an Apple product.
Features like (which I care about):
Lets do some maths shall we, Minimum you pay at the end of an iphone contract in the UK is £269 + £35 a month for 18 months = £899 (thats without going over monthly texts and minutes) faint!
Me being the cheaparse that I am I paid £45 up front and took out a 12 month contract at £35 a month = £465 minimum with that I got 500 minutes and 500 texts, a Nokia 6300 (admitedly its a crap phone which needs charging ever night) and a Playstation 3 with Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and the movie Stealth on blu ray (which was bad to say the least).
Still thats bang for buck no matter who you are.
A good friend of mine who is an admitted apple fanboy (he even works in an apple reseller) bought an iphone early this year, while using it I have to say it's really good and what is does do it did well. I loved the internet on the go even if it was like using a dial up modem in terms of speed. When we were at the pub having a slightly tipsy introspective conversation I couldn't stop playing with the thing. But as cool as it was it wasn't £269 of front cool.
So getting to the point, now that its going to be £99 and o2 have said they will let any existing customer upgrade Im pretty sure im getting this iphone thing when I get a spare £100. That's the maximum I'd ever pay for it upfront, I wouldn't ever get the 16gig. Spending £59 for 8gigs difference in 2008 is just ridiculous if you ask me. (I bought a 8gig class 6 SD card for extra storage for my eee pc for £20 ((told you Im cheap))

Features like (which I care about):
- Sending pictures, movies and music over bluetooth (v. important to me)
- No formal way to write some kind of text document
- Lack of a file manager
- which is linked to the first two reasons; without a file manager there is no place to organise where you would keep there files. A compromise would be for Apple to let itunes to have some kind of basic file management function but that very un-Apple because content on Ipod's and Apple tv's are always handle from a centralised point (your computer) and not on the device itself.
- Cut and Paste
- Not sure I care much about MMS, in the many years Ive had phones that can send them Ive actually sent none but I have received a few and seen situations where they are useful or fun. It would be nice to have MMS and its absences is baffling.

Story so Far
So far this week and last week have been eventful(ish) Thursday to Saturday morning I had no sleep, which is actually becoming a habit of mine. Friday night I was playing Rockband till 4am at a friends house.
Rockband was a ton of fun, I was scared beyond reason to sing because my singing voice is non existence, but when we took turns I ended up doing pretty good (according to Rockband). I didnt take any pictures but others did so I'll be sure to nick them if they ever surface on facebook and post them here.
Monday and Tuesday I helped colour correct a documentary; I didnt ready set out to do anything like that when I woke up but the producer asked and I said yes meaning both days I ended up leaving college at 8 and 9pm.
